:: Bell Garden Ltd :: Landscaping Service
This breif was for a classic modern look. Black background with a bright green trim to lift it from the page.
:: Jaconelli :: Hair Salon
Using the client\'s long established corporate colours and image, I selected a modern lifestyle image to emphasise the unisex aspect and framed the photo with the \'hair\' swirls
:: Muddy Legs :: Dog Walking Service
The client required a logo design and advert with a cute, fun theme feautring a happy looking dog. I used earthy colours and traditional fonts for a countryside feel.
:: MAFF DESIGN :: design agency services. this great shot of downtown NY was ideal to use the spoof US diner sign i had created. the 3D headline works well to draw you in & i decided to keep the colour minimal to give that colourised film feel
:: BREAKIN' CONVENTION :: this is a rework of the '07 breakin' con flyer into a double page magazine spread. the original artwork was a bit dull in my opinion - breakin' is all about being seen! the grafiti photo introduces lots of colour, so i kept the copy white on black. the dancer silhouettes are nice & bold, thank ps for virtual spray painting!
:: DANNIE LEA :: hair design. this client required a design makeover to achieve a much more clean & contemporary feel. hair design is of course closely linked to fashion, therefore the image is of paramount importance. i used my own scribbled handwriting & torn paper effect for a bit of edge & some lighting filters for depth
a couple of alternatives. that odd decking photo was used to show where a nice shot of the salon interior could go!
:: POP UK :: for this artwork i wanted to create a kitschy style. i coloured the fancy wallpaper pattern an opulent maroon & gold. the lighting filter worked well with my bulb & shade sketch which illuminates the company name. a nice 'DIY' feel woodblock headline and chunky fine art frame for the image
:: HOUSE OF TATTOOS :: this client supplied plenty of fantastic, colourful (& sometimes scary) tattoos. i layered lots of texture, gave the logo a bright neon colour and added the mean looking gun!
:: VW WORLD :: just for fun! i made a few of these mini worlds. here's vw world inhabited by funky buses
:: BCPR :: fashion PR company. the client required the display of a company overview, to include background info, current projects & client list. unsure of the format they were after i produced these mock ups which could be used as a double page spread or scaled down to a 3 fold booklet. the b&w images work well with the corporate colours & spaces were left for product shots
another page. these are just mock ups, hence the sketchy photo-chop!
:: ANDREA JOHNSON :: master photographer. for this industry, image is king. you wouldn't use a photographer who uses a poor image in their ad. simple, contemporary fonts, subtle flourish pattern overlay
an alternative style to previous. another great shot, more atmospheric. the strong flourish balances out and keep focus on the image. tidy & compact copy
:: VOLUNTEER :: the wind up laptop is a great piece of design & here seems to be offering an outstretched arm... & so the strapline was born. using colours to complement also provides a neutral background which helps give the photo strip impact & ensures the logos are visible
:: AIGBURTH TV :: tv & satellite installers. the client wanted to increase work specialising in the digital tv crossover & remain open to a broad target market. i wanted to give these ads a pop feel & keep a sharp contrast using the 2 colours. the tv logo is simple & recognisable, strong and funky typography
version with the robot... worried about going digital
